It is a paradox that a new author faces a mountainous task in finding a publisher or an agent.  A publisher doesn’t want an author who has no agent.  An agent doesn’t want an author who hasn’t been published.  Anyone who has been writing and seeking publication a while has a collection of rejection slips.   Many great works of literature was turned down for years before being accepted.  Getting published seems like looking at an impossible task.  Nothing but difficulty appears to face the new author.

No agent is required as an intermediary.  An agent’s contract exists, it will be honored and should be included in any submissions.  But an author can come directly to IPS Publishing.

Talent is the only criteria.

Here’s the way we work.  First, submit a brief resume of yourself so that we can develop a rapport and understand you.  For instance, if you write about a doctor in Asia, we would hope you know something about medicine.

We would like to have a brief synopsis of your work.  It should be in a workable MS Word or similarly compatible format.  No hard copy which requires our typing, please.  We can review hard copy mailed to our post office box, if we request such after reading the synopsis.

If we choose to publish a new author’s work, we will discuss publication and the terms.  Your work is copyrighted by you when you write it, and is protected from plagiarism.  There is no specialty field for subject matter with IPS Publishing.  Fiction or non-fiction.  Religious or fantasy.  History or current comment.  Our only exception would be material which is clearly vulgar beyond the measure of good taste and seditious matter that preaches violence.

No agent is required.  If you have an agent, please let us know so that we may respect the agreement
